Wilson Hernández is a teacher and researcher from Colombia. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the department of Education at Concordia University (Montreal, Canada).
He has gained teaching experience from private schools, a public university, and continuing education.
He has taken part in some research projects focused on student teachers’ identity development, training, and perspectives.
Now, he is researching about the modes of violence affecting teachers, how these modes affect them, and what teachers do to counteract or resist that violence.
Teaching experience
Wilson Hernández has taught English language as a Foreign/Second language in private primary and secondary schools.
Also, he taught in the English Language Teacher Education program at Surcolombiana University, where he led courses such as English, Academic Writing, and Globalization.
As a PhD student in Canada, he has led the courses Diversity in Childhood, and TESL at Concordia; and occasionally teaches Living English at an Adult Education Center.
